Honey Lemonade
There is nothing more refreshing than lemonade on a hot humid day. We sweeten our Lemonade with honey just like our ancestors did before they "discovered" sugar and high fructose corn syrup. The following recipe makes one glass and we want you to make this recipe before you scale it up. Everyone has their own perfect balance between honey and lemon and we don't want you wasting a lot of honey on a large batch.
Ingredients:
3 Tablespoons of Lemon Juice (ideally from fresh squeezed lemons)
2 Tablespoons of SeaBee Honey (note -Early summer will typically be lighter tasting while Later Summer will have more powerful honey flavors.)
1/2 Cup of Cold Water
Crushed Ice or Ice Cubes
Process:
Squeeze the lemons and be sure to remove the seeds. Add the 2 Tablespoons of honey that has been warmed to 90 degrees F. Do not use a microwave to heat up the honey. Use a stovetop or place the honey in a warm location (we put it in the sun) to get it warm.
Add the honey to the lemon juice and stir or shake to get the solution to mix.
Add the cold water and stir or shake again.
Finally add the ice and give it one final stir.
